Inspiration | This and That

1. Brides, have you seen Ruche's latest lookbook? It's full of amazing gorgeousness. AND the location is 10 minutes away from where I live. Soooo if you want photos there, call me definitely.

2. Photographers, Blogstomp has changed my (blogging) life. Check it out.

3. If I could, I would wear Philosophies Unconditional Love fragrance every single day. They describe it as "a soulful, sweetly warm scent." I don't know exactly what that means, but I love it.

4. I'm going through one of those phases where I actually enjoy photoshop. (Weird, right?) With that has come an obsession with fonts. This is my favorite set of fonts I've seen so far. So fun!

5. Who doesn't love The Civil Wars? This is one of my favorite songs from them for sure.

Backpacking

Tune my Heart

Come Thou fount of every blessing

My harp has forty seven strings. The sweetest sounds come when they are all tuned. So many intricate moving parts affect the sound. Strings need to be pulled taunt or loosened. Then melodies can sing from the mix of wood and nylon and medal.

I grab the tuning peg and wonder absentmindedly how many more strings does my heart have? Which ones need to be pulled tighter to the Anchor of my soul? Which need to be loosened from their distractions?

The Grand Canyon

It was an accident. He had mentioned driving to the Grand Canyon earlier, but it was a joke. Not enough time, not enough daylight. Nobody wanted to be in the car that long anyway. Miles passed. Arizona’s ponderosa pines floated by the window as music lulled us into our individual thoughts.

Then we were at the crossroads. Wait, where were we? A consult with map, and it turned out we had a missed a turn a while back. We were going to see the Grand Canyon after all.
